Payments

Premium payments can continue to be made by debit, Visa or MasterCard via phone, or via online banking at Butterfield, Cayman National, CIBC First Caribbean, Scotia and RBC Royal Bank. Please ensure that you select “British Caymanian Insurance Company Limited” as a bill payee and reference your policy number.

Alternatively, you may contact us for our banking details to make a direct deposit. Claims settlements will still be issued directly into a person’s account.

Pensions Holiday Update

In alignment with the recent changes to the Cayman Island Pensions Regulations, please note the following.

  1. Emergency withdrawal applications end 31st October 2020.
  2. Through December 31, 2020:
    • Employers and employees may agree to continue making pension contributions which would be denoted as voluntary contributions.
    • Employers with delinquent pension contributions at the start of the pension holiday will remain liable for the delinquent amount and the accruing interest.
    • Members are not required to pay the additional 1% contribution in relation to their prior housing withdrawal during the pensions holiday period.

  1. When requesting a copy of your pension statement and/or online log in details:

    • Provide a copy of a valid government photo ID (e.g. passport, driver's license or voter's ID card)
